Me and my husband and our dog Harvey spent a couple of nights at the Rising Sun in St Mawes last week. We had a lovely room at the front of the hotel which was beautifully appointed – fantastic shower. The food in the restaurant was excellent, we dined there both nights as we were able to have our dog with us. The staff were very helpful when we wanted to move to a more ‘dog friendly’ table. The breakfasts were also outstanding. The weather helped and we enjoyed soaking up with sun with some pre-dinner drinks on the beautiful terrace – a lovely break.

Scrumptious Sunday Roast
We’re staying near beautiful St mawes on holiday and the 2 Sundays we’ve been here we have enjoyed the most scrumptious Sunday roasts…the meat just melts in your mouth and the vegetables are divine. Can’t recommend enough.. thank-you to our servers Bridgette & Ellan Xx

Great food great service
We ate at the rising sun on Good Friday. The food was amazing. The lamb rump was very tender and juicy. We were served by Charlie, who couldn’t do enough to help us. The service was fabulous.

Amazing location and really friendly team, will most certainly come back, the food was great and the kids loved heading down to the beach after we ate, was lovely having a pint in the beer garden in the sun after our meal

Everything about our stay was brilliant! Love their staff they are all very attentive and helpful, we especially wish to mention Ellan who made my birthday celebrations very special!! All food was great and our room very comfortable.
